The Third Sunday of End Times:
Saints Triumphant

November 18, 2007

Prayer:

Lord, let at last your angels come;
To Abram's bosom bear me home
That I may die unfearing.
And in its narrow chamber keep
My body safe in peaceful sleep
Until your reappearing.
And then from death awaken me
That my own eyes with joy may see,
O Son of God, your glorious face,
My Savior and my Fount of grace.
Lord Jesus Christ,
My prayer attend, my prayer attend,
And I will praise you without end. (CW 434:3)

Eagerly Anticipate the Real Heaven

  1. Leave behind the false images
    1. What truths do we know about heaven?
    2. How have we failed to leave behind the false images and instead have let our hearts and minds be shaped by them?
  2. Cherish the real life you have in Jesus
    1. What's the life that Jesus brings to you?
    2. Why does this life eagerly anticipate the real heaven?
