Second Lesson: Colossians 3:12-17

Remember who you are: God's chosen people. So live as his holy people showing forgiveness and love to others. Live in the peace of Christ, filled with his Word.

Gospel: Luke 2:25-40

We witness events at the temple forty days after Jesus' birth in Bethlehem.

News & Notes

Nominations: Doug Nelson and Don Spencer have been nominated as candidates for chairman.

Budget: We need about $3000 for the General Fund to end the year in the black and about $1000 in missions to meet our WELS offering goal.

Installation: St. Paul's of Morris invites us to join them in a service of thanks as their new pastor, the Reverend Donald Main, is installed on January 11 at 4:00pm. A potluck will follow the service.

Annual Meeting: The annual meeting will be held on January 11 at about 12:30pm following the annual potluck. The agenda includes election for chairman, salaries for 2009, and changes in the bylaws reducing the number of elders and trustees from three to two each. These changes are posted in the narthex. The ladies and children will have the Bingo party during this time.
