Easter Dawn Prayer
Hymn 304 (LAPPY) “This Is the Day”
P: In Baptism we were buried with Christ, so that just as he was raised to life by the glory of the Father so too we walk in the new life. Therefore let us confess our sins and unworthiness as we approach our risen Savior, so that we know all the more the joy of forgiveness that Easter proclaims to us.
C: Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord. Lord, hear my voice. Let your ear be attentive to my cry for mercy. If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins, O Lord who could stand? But with you there is forgiveness so that you are feared. I wait for the Lord. My soul waits, and in his word I have hope. My soul waits for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning. Let God's people hope in the Lord, for with the Lord there is mercy and with him is full redemption. He shall ransom his people from all their sins. (Based on Psalm 130)
P: The risen Jesus said to his disciples, "Peace be with you! If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven." Therefore I say to each of you: You are forgiven. Be at peace with God. For the Father has raised Jesus from the dead. He has forgiven you for Jesus' sake. In Christ God reconciled the world to himself, so that you may have the peace of forgiveness and the joy of salvation.

Cups and Plates: The Ladies' Society has decided to no longer supply paper cups and plates for the kitchen. If servers want to use paper cups and plates, they are welcome to buy them on their own.
