Hail, O Source of ev'ry blessing, Father of our human race! Gentiles now, your grace possessing, In your courts obtain a place. Grateful now, we fall before you, In your Church rejoice to live, See your glory and adore you, Thankful for the grace you give. (Christian Worship: A Lutheran Hymnal 87:1)

First Lesson: Isaiah 62:1-5
Isaiah pictures our joy as followers of Jesus. We have a new name, for we were reborn into Christ. We have a crown of splendor, for Jesus reigns and we are his heirs. Because Jesus' righteousness covers us, the Lord delights in us. Jesus is our bridegroom. What joy!
Psalm 133-134, p. 115
We praise our Lord, for we are his people.
Second Lesson: 1 Corinthians 12:1-11
The Holy Spirit gives us gifts to serve our Lord and his people.
Gospel: John 2:1-11
Jesus shows his divine power as he turns water into wine. He can certainly take care of all our needs. What a Savior he is! What joy to follow him!
Catechism Student Questions:
The Lord's Supper
At St. John’s we observe the biblical practice of close communion. Communing together is an outward sign of the inner closeness of faith that seeks to agree on all that the Bible teaches. So we ask that only those commune who are confirmed members of churches which have declared fellowship with the WELS. If you have further questions, please talk with the pastor.
Annual Report: Copies of the annual report are available in the narthex. A summary of the annual meeting and an update on the roofing project will be in the newsletter going out this week.
Installation: The recently elected councilmen (Gerald Hoffman, Treasurer; Chad Rohloff, elder; Chuck Nelson, Trustee) will be installed today for a three year term. We thank our outgoing councilmen, David Paul and Dick Smith, for their faithful service
