The Lord rescued Israel from Egypt. He has rescued us from sin and Satan. Walk in his ways and serve him. He alone can rescue.

Only God’s Word teaches us how he rescued us. Only his Word can lead us on the right path.

Second Lesson 2 Timothy 4:6-8, 16-18

The Lord’s ultimate rescue for his people is to bring us safely to heaven.

Gospel: Luke 18:18-27

Riches cannot rescue us. Only the Lord our God can accomplish that impossible mission.

2 Timothy 4:6-8, 16-18

Live Ready for Your Lord

  1. By striving in your service to him
    1. Why did Paul have no regrets?
    2. How does the victor’s crown come to us?
    3. What roles has God given you? How can you carry out those responsibilities in service to your Lord?
  2. By resting in his rescue
    1. How do we continue to sin despite the rescue the Lord has worked for us?
    2. How has the Lord rescued us and when will we fully enjoy it?
