The First Sunday after Christmas

December 28, 2014

Prayer:

Lord, how shall I thank you rightly? I am saved eternally By our life and death for me. Let me not regard you lightly But on you in faith depend, Praising you my heav’nly friend. Joy, oh, joy beyond all gladness, Christ has done away with sadness! Hence all sorrow and repining, For the Sun of grace is shining! (Christian Worship: A Lutheran Hymnal 45:3)

Some ideas that have been talked about include: the women of the church getting together for social events (time and dates to be discussed at the meeting); creating a church cookbook; making homemade cards; make or refurbishing Christmas ornaments either for our church tree or to send away to a mission; making Christmas goodies or favorite dishes for a special meal; Bible study.

If any of those ideas sound interesting to you or you have your own suggestions to add, please plan to attend the organization meeting after the service on January 11. Your thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated. If you have other questions or would like to offer input but can’t make it to the meeting, please contact Karen Hoffman (320-965-2780).
