Love Builds Up

  1. Love knows the true God
  2. Love places others before our own rights
  3. Love sees others as Christ sees them

The Lord's Supper: At St. John’s we observe the biblical practice of close communion. So we ask that only confirmed members in fellowship with the WELS commune. If you have further questions, please talk with the pastor.

News and Notes

Cookbook: Some of the St. Johns ladies are organizing a church cookbook. Some recipes have been submitted previously and do not need to be submitted again. We are asking for more recipes from those who did not originally submit any or for those who would like to submit additional recipes.

Please send by email or give individually to either Karen Hoffman (gerald_karen_hoffman@hotmail.com) or Mona Roth (jkr1952@gmail.com).

We are asking that all recipes be turned in by Feb. 15.

A meeting is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 22, after church to organize the cookbook. All interested ladies are invited to attend. A light lunch will be served.

Military Bible Sticks are being sent to our troops around the world. These are a digital audio player specifically designed for our military service members. It’s about the size of a pack of gum, and comes pre-loaded with a dramatized recording of the entire New Testament and specially selected Psalms. It’s rugged enough to withstand tough weather conditions, can be used in low-light situations, and easily fits into uniform pockets. The next two Sundays a door offering will be taken for this purpose. $100 provides a BibleStick to 8 troops; $75 to 6 troops and $50 to 4 troops. What a wonderful way to show God’s love this Valentine’s season. Please talk with Leah Nelson if you have any questions or would like more information.
